As the combined CEO, COO, and CFO, I provided unified leadership for the organization’s strategic, operational, and financial direction. I was responsible for guiding us out of trusteeship, directing the implementation of policies and adherence to the bylaws, cultivating long-term growth, operational efficiency, and fiscal integrity. I served as the central decision-maker and visionary, aligning corporate goals with day-to-day execution and financial stewardship. I represented the 27,000 members worldwide as a spokesperson and member of the PSAC Board of Directors. I was responsible for aligning staff with organizational deliverables. My role oversaw all departments, ensuring cross-functional collaboration, resource optimization, and accountability for performance. I have deep experience in leadership, financial management, and operational execution. I shared with stakeholders, including Deputy Ministers, in accordance with the values outlined in our governing documents, how to improve working conditions and address members’ concerns. I put forward legal solutions to workplace challenges that would mutually remedy long-standing issues. I stood firm on integrity and maintained a strong focus on transparency while maintaining legislation, sustainability and strategic impact.
Co-Chair of the Bylaws and Constitution Committee Triennial 2023
Organise and rank members bylaws and regulations changes with the committee in the best interest of the membership. As co-chair of the Bylaws and Constitution Committee, I supported the chair in administering the committee. Our role was to review and put forward in priority order resolutions to amend the bylaws and policies or the PSAC Constitution to our triennial convention.
2SLGBTQ2+ Human Rights Delegate UNE SEN Nov 2022 – Aug 2023
Represent the members of this equity groups caucus’s interest at the triennial conference for UNE and as co-chair of the bylaw committee. The 2SLGBTQ2+ elected me as one of five delegates to represent our interests at the triennial convention of the UNE. I ensured to bring my community of Pansexual and Two Spirit perspectives to the convention and debate the issues that matter to the delegation.
Vice President Local 70501 NCR/ Région de la capitale nationale Union of National Employees Union Feb 2023 – Aug 24, 2023
As vice-president, I supported the local president, represented members, held local meetings, and worked with the employer to improve working conditions in a headquarters local of over 750 members. I continue to work as a local steward representing members at the first and second level hearing process, as UNE is an organizing union. I also continued to help Black union workers across other unions understand their collective agreements.
Collective Bargaining Team Member Union of National Employees Union 2021 – 2023
As a member of the collective bargaining team, I, along with other team members, review and prioritize the bargaining demands. We pushed to negotiate an agreement in the best interest of our members of our bargaining unit.
Steward Local 00221 Union of National Employees Union 2021 – 2022
As a steward, I supported the local representing members at the first and second level hearing process, as UNE is an organizing union. I also continued to help Black union workers across other unions understand their collective agreements.
