As the combined CEO, COO, and CFO, I provide unified leadership for the strategic, operational, and financial direction of the organization. I’m responsible for guiding us out of trusteeship, directing the implementation of policies and adherence to the bylaws, cultivating long-term growth, operational efficiency, and fiscal integrity. I serve as the central decision-maker and visionary, aligning corporate goals with day-to-day execution and financial stewardship. I represent the 27,000 members worldwide as a spokesperson and on the PSAC board of directors, and am responsible for aligning staff with organizational deliverables. My role oversees all departments, ensuring cross-functional collaboration, resource optimization, and accountability for performance. I have deep experience in leadership, financial management, and operational execution. I represent the organization to stakeholders in accordance with the organizational values as defined in our governing documents. I stand firm on integrity and maintaining a strong focus on transparency, ethics, accountability, sustainability, and strategic impact.

UN: 2024- Invited to the United Nations Permanent Forum on People of African Descent

As the first Black National President of a Global Canadian Union in Canada, I was invited to attend the United Nations Permanent Forum on People of African Descent to provide a labour movement perspective on the stolen labour of people of African descent during the slave trade.

Chair: Partner Engagement Federal Black Employee Caucus

In 2022, I became the chair of the Federal Black Employee Cause, a cross-departmental group formed under the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent to raise concerns around the anti-Black racism within Canada’s Federal Public Service. The Caucus works with all levels of the Federal Government to improve the working conditions for Black Public Servants. The Lead for Partner Engagement ensures we continue dialogue on ways to remedy systemic racism within the public service ecosystem on the micro and macro levels. I play a crucial role in identifying anti-Black racism and providing aholistic solution to address it.

Representative Ontario (Outside the NCR) – Aug 2020 – May 2022 · 1 yr 10 mo

Federal Black Employee Caucus: I developed frameworks for programs led in the Ontario region outside of the NCR. These programs were aimed at addressing historical inequities for Black Federal Employees of the region. I created materials to deliver at the ADM and DM levels to deepen their understanding of the historical context and how to dismantle systems of oppression within their teams and across broader governmental systems. I represent the interests of Federal Black Employees in Ontario. I meet with relevant stakeholders. I provided analysis. I communicate in French and English on anti-Black racism through planning, education, and collaboration.

I served on the Committee for Equitable Access and Participation (CEAP) as president, providing insight and driving internal change for visible minority members.  I advanced the cause of inclusion in the workplace, in my community, and across the country, and to effect eventual changes in the Federal Public Service.
